Introduction To The Business Model Canvas
March 6, 2010
Our three key themes to Connect IT 2010 are: Personal Branding, Business Model Generation, and Social Business Design. As students, grads, industry, and as academics, it’s how you fit inside this new way of working, and how as forward thinking business leaders you leverage these trends that make up the big picture.
What Jaime Sorgente and I (Malcolm Bastien) wanted to do was get people unfamiliar with the Business Model Canvas some exposure to it. We think it’s very important that when attendees of Connect IT come to the event on March 11th, they can feel familiar with the concepts, and with the tool.
Connect IT On The Business Model Canvas
What we did was record a short 9 minute video that’s an introduction to the Business Model Canvas. It actually breaks down the various elements of Connect IT into a business model! We really think this will help first timers to the canvas how the canvas can turn something abstract (in this case a student event’s business model), into something digestible, concrete, and most importantly it’s the starting point for more discussions on where we can take this model.
We hope you enjoy it!
