About Connect IT / Past Years

Matthew Merritt

For Matthew, improving communities is a primary requirement to achieve personal satisfaction. The opportunity to lead Connect IT has allowed him to fulfill two of his objectives in relation to Ryerson’s community – improving the educational experience for fellow students and becoming an ambassador for the ITM program and the University at large.
He has a strong interest in the development, implementation and management of IT and IS policies within various contexts, including enterprises and societies of various sizes.
Hard work, dedication, and passion are cornerstones of his character.
