Opening Address
Urbanization & Environmental Sustainability 101
Due to the considerable scope of this year’s theme, this opening session is meant not only to illustrate the significance of urbanization and environmental sustainability, but also to assist students in conceptualizing these key trends in relation to IT.

Breakout Session I
Health, Energy & Urban Development – Challenges & Opportunities in the 21st Century
For the first time in human history more people are now living in cities than in rural areas, which is placing an enormous strain on urban infrastructures around the world to deliver services to citizens, especially in the areas of healthcare, energy and urban infrastructure.  Nevertheless, this provides a myriad of business opportunities for companies and entrepreneurs to utilize IT to meet these challenges.

Breakout Session II
What's Next for Wireless Technologies?
From innovative consumer products to solutions for numerous industries, wireless technologies are now more impressive and pervasive than they have ever been.  This session not only aims to cover how wireless technologies are evolving and changing the way we live, but also whether they can help reduce our impact on the environment.

Panel Session
Green IT: Fad or Future?
A recent survey conducted by IDC, a global provider of market intelligence and technology consulting services, revealed that 80% of executives think “Green IT” is becoming increasingly important for their respective organizations. But what exactly is “Green IT”? Is the concept of environmental sustainability legitimate in the context of IT organizations? What are the challenges and opportunities related to “Green IT”?  These are some of the questions that will be addressed by a diverse and thought-provoking panel.

Networking Session
As students progress in their respective university careers, they often have
many questions related to their chosen fields of study and potential career
opportunities upon graduation. This session provides current students with
a rare opportunity to network with recent Ryerson grads and HR recruiters to
help them get a better sense of how they can fully leverage their university
experience and prepare themselves for life after Ryerson.
